Californian brand HUF joins forces with Toyota once again to launch a collection that pays homage to the legacy, design, and influence of the Land Cruiser.
Coinciding with the launch of the new generation in 2024, the HUF x Land Cruiser collection references some of the milestones in its extensive history.
If you're wondering what makes the history of this Japanese off-roader so significant, the Toyota Land Cruiser was born in 1951 as a military development vehicle with light off-road capabilities for the Japanese army during the Korean War. Inspired by the design of the American Jeep, Toyota created the BJ, a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
In 1954, the BJ was renamed the "Land Cruiser" and launched into the civilian market. Over time, Toyota refined the model, offering more comfortable versions adapted for both heavy-duty work and everyday use. Throughout the years, the Land Cruiser has evolved through multiple generations, but it has always maintained its essence as a vehicle capable of tackling any terrain and extreme conditions. With more than 10 million units sold since its inception, this vehicle has secured its own chapter in automotive history.
This HUF collection combines contemporary apparel and custom accessories, incorporating details and iconography from the Toyota archives and vintage advertisements. We bring you these pieces that reflect decades of off-road achievements and the innovative design of the Land Cruiser.
